Selborne has an amazing swimming facility with two outdoor pools. One is an eight lane, 25 m pool whilst the Learn to Swim pool is 12.5m long. It is also heated. We run a well-structured Learn to Swim programme starting in Grade RR. Our main focus in the younger grades is on water safety. Boys in Grade RR to 2 participate in swimming lessons once a week during Physical Education lessons in the first and fourth terms.
Selborne has an A and B Squad for the competitive swimmers as well as having social swimming for the non-competitive boys. Selborne hosts an annual invitational mini gala in the first term. The boys may also participate in the Top 8 events arranged by Buffalo City School Aquatics.
